In 2012 we won a Gold Medal for our garden design at Garden Show Ireland Hillsborough. Our garden “At one with Nature” also won “Best in Show.”
The garden sought to highlight what is possible with using a strict palette of native plants. Both the judges and gardening enthusiasts a like appreciated the challenge of this and the quality the final garden really impressed.
Noted garden commentator Frances MacDonald said in a national paper, of the design “beautifully finished and completely natural garden with superb attention to detail, it achieved the challenge of making what is a temporary display for the show look like a permanent garden.”
While another publication noted “Johnny’s imagination, creativity and attention to detail in transforming this plot into a charming piece of Co. Down…won Best in show and Gold in the large garden category.”
