Client Brief
The client asked for a garden that was sympathetic to a recently designed extension, the brief was for simplicity and refined planting to maximise the connection to generous countryside views. These concepts held together by the desire of creating a generous place for family gatherings.
Our Design
We responded with a design that provided a sense of refined formality while providing a link to the local countryside. The real statement of this design is the use of muted paving throughout and mature crown-lifted specimen trees. The balance here to anchor the building in context and provide generous space for family get togethers
The use of a “Ha Ha” created the feeling of an infinity lawn and provide that connection to the local countryside. Finally, with the addition of dwarf hedging to frame the mature topiary, we added delicate soft hued bedding which can be changed seasonally to maximise performance and ease of maintenance.
This garden celebrates the elevated setting of this luxury home, while creating a space for family to gather and at the same time sits comfortably in its countryside location.
